GALAXY COMMUNICATIONS LLC, MAYOR PALMIERI ANNOUNCE LEASE OF HISTORIC DOWNTOWN BUILDING
Landmarc Building signs Galaxy Communications LLC as tenant
Utica, NY – Galaxy Communications President and CEO Ed Levine, and Utica Mayor Robert Palmieri officially announced today that the media company will be moving its Utica headquarters from Washington Mills to the newly renovated Landmarc Building on Seneca Street in downtown Utica. Galaxy Communications has owned and operated radio stations WKLL, WTLB, WUMX and WOUR in the Utica market for 25 years, along with its special events and sports marketing divisions. The historic building, formerly known as the HSBC building, is undergoing a major renovation, including office space, condos and a restaurant. It will be completed this summer, according to owners Michael and Francis Pezzolanella. Galaxy plans on leasing approximately 5,000 square feet on the ground floor of the building.
“We’re so excited to be part of the revitalization of downtown Utica,” said Galaxy Communications’ Ed Levine. “As a locally owned and operated company that’s been in the market for a long time, we’re thrilled to be able to prosper and grow right along with the City of Utica. I see nothing but great things in the future and Galaxy is proud to be a part of it.”
“This is another exciting day for the City of Utica,” Mayor Robert Palmieri said. “Attracting reputable companies like Galaxy Communications is what will continue to revitalize our City and rebuild our downtown corridor. As a community, we welcome Galaxy with open arms.”
