Second Public Forum on Re-use of Former St. Elizabeth’s Campus Scheduled

Utica Mayor Michael P. Galime announces that the second public forum regarding the future re-use of the former St. Elizabeth’s campus has been scheduled.  The meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 7th at 6 PM in the Sinnott Family – Bank of Utica Auditorium at Munson, 310 Genesee Street.

City representatives, members of the planning effort’s steering committee and representatives of the consultant team that is assisting in the planning will present a variety of potential re-use scenarios, complete with renderings and preliminary estimated demolition and/or construction cost projections for each scenario.

Utica Mayor Michael P. Galime said: “The former St. Elizabeth’s campus and its future re-use holds tremendous potential for the south Utica neighborhood and the entire city of Utica.  The re-use scenarios that will be presented with a focus on residential use in varied forms and density will grow our tax base, an important consideration for any re-use.  I encourage everyone to take part in this important initiative.”

Please note that, due to the construction on the Genesee Street side of Munson, public access to the parking and the building continues to be from the State Street side of the building.
