CITY OF UTICA SEEKS PUBLIC INPUT FOR
HOUSING STUDY THROUGH ONLINE OPEN HOUSE

Utica Mayor Robert Palmieri today announced the city is seeking input from the public on current and future housing needs through an online open house hosted at uticahousingstudy.org

As part of the Utica Prosperity Initiative Phase II, the City of Utica is conducting a city-wide housing needs assessment to analyze current and projected demographics and household characteristics, forecast future housing needs throughout the community for all levels of income, and develop a plan to implement the recommendations brought forth through the assessment.

The online open house is open for public input starting today until Tuesday, May 31st.

Any questions about the housing needs assessment or the online open house can be directed to Urban & Economic Development Community Development Specialist Derek Crossman at 315-792-0181 or via e-mail at dcrossman@cityofutica.com.

Mayor Palmieri stated, “Housing is a key aspect of Utica’s projected growth, and in order to maximize the impact of the federal funds the city receives, we need public input from the community. I encourage everyone to participate in the open house and submit their ideas.”
