MAYOR PALMIERI ANNOUNCES MOBILE COVID TESTING AVAILABLE IN CITY HALL PARKING LOT

Mayor Robert Palmieri today announced the City is working collaboratively with Precision Clinical Laboratory (PCL) to offer testing for COVID-19 (and its variants) at Utica City Hall parking lot, through PCL’s mobile unit.

The mobile unit will be located in the City Hall parking lot Monday-Friday from the hours of 9:00am-5:00pm, beginning Monday, December 27th until further notice (the mobile unit will not available on New Year’s Eve). The mobile unit is open to the public and no appointments are necessary.

PCL is permitted through the New York State Department of Health and certified in meeting all requirements to perform high complexity COVID testing. PCL has a proven track record of quick turnaround times for results, and the tests are free with most medical insurances.

For more information about PCL and its mobile testing individuals can call 315-316-0616.

Mayor Palmieri stated, “In order to slow and curtail the spread of COVID-19, and its variants, we need to have adequate testing available to all residents. By working with Precision Clinical Laboratory, and allowing them to utilize the City Hall parking lot for its mobile unit, we are significantly increasing the capacity for individuals to be tested.

Mayor Palmieri continued, “While testing is vitally important, we encourage as many residents as possible to get vaccinated and boostered as it is key to promoting individual and public health.”
