NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Specifications have been filed by the Board of Contract and Supply for:
RECONSTRUTION OF SANITARY SEWER ON DUDLEY AVENUE, STORM PIPE, MANHOLE & CATCHBASIN CONSTRUCTION ON LORRAINE AVE. AT HUGHES STREET AND LENOX AVENUESPOT SEWER REPAIRS
Sealed bids for the aforementioned proposal shall be received at the Board of Contract and Supply office, 1 Kennedy Plaza, Utica, New York, 13502, until 12:00 p.m. on May 7, 2015. Bids shall be opened and publicly read in the Common Council Chambers, City Hall, Utica, New York, immediately after the time set for receipt.
Specifications and plans must be obtained from the Secretary of the Board of Contract and Supply, City Hall, 1 Kennedy Plaza, Utica, New York 13502. A charge of Twenty – Five Dollars ($25.00) will be required for each set. Bidders are responsible for all costs of shipping, mailing, etc. Proposals shall be received only from persons who obtain Bid Documents from the Board of Contract and Supply and are duly registered on the List of Bidders.
No bids shall be received after 12:00 p.m. on the date set for receipt. Bids shall be addressed to the Board of Contract and Supply and be endorsed on the outside of the envelope with the name of the bidder and the title of work to which it relates.
Sealed bids shall be accompanied by a five percent (5%) bid security in the form described in the Instruction to Bidders, and shall include all the required bid forms, affidavits and statements.
No contractor will discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, religion, sex, or national origin.
The City of Utica has established goals for employment of City residents and minorities for this project. The goal for employment of City residents is 60% of the total work force used in the completion of this project and the minority goal is 10%. The City has also established a goal for MBE participation by contractors in all contracts which exceed $10,000.00.
The BOARD OF CONTRACT AND SUPPLY reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive any informalities in the bid.
