In accordance with the requirements contained in Section 2-29-44 of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Utica, the applicant is seeking approval of a Certificate of Appropriateness in order to install a fence at the above referenced property.

 

The applicant is proposing to install a 6’ high wood stockade style fence to enclose the yard for the family.  The fence will extend off the front edge of the house and run out toward Brookside Avenue and along that side of the property to the rear toward the garage.  No fence is proposed for the front of the home on Parkway E.

 

In accordance with Section 2-29-185 of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Utica, all solid fences measuring more than three feet high are prohibited in the front yard.  The applicant will be required to receive an area variance from the Zoning Board of Appeals for the installation of the 6’ solid wood fence.

In accordance with the requirements contained in Section 2-29-44 of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Utica, the applicant is seeking approval of a Certificate of Appropriateness in order to make exterior improvements at the above referenced property.

 

The applicant is proposing to install new dark bronze aluminum storefront style windows and door.  The existing windows and trim will be painted Sherwin Williams Sea Serpent blue.  The soffit and fascia t the roofline will be repaired and painted. 

 

The applicant is also proposing to repair and repoint the existing brick.  A new canopy over the building entrance will be installed.

In accordance with the requirements contained in Section 2-29-44 of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Utica, the applicant is seeking approval of a Certificate of Appropriateness in order to make exterior improvements at the above referenced property. 

 

The applicant is proposing to repoint approximately 20% of the brick masonry street façade and painting the street façade and north facing exterior wall brick masonry in “field” color 1, painting the wood trim, including all window trim, fascia, frieze, cornice and corbel detailing in “accent” color 2, painting the exterior of existing windows in color 3 and painting the building numbers (at the frieze) in “field” color 1.

 

No changes to the storefront will occur at this time.
