MAYOR PALMIERI ANNOUNCES NEW LAOTIAN RESTAURANT IN DOWNTOWN UTICA

Mayor Palmieri today announced the opening of a new Laotian restaurant in downtown Utica.

A Taste of Laos, located at 12 Bank Place, features authentic Laotian dishes as well as Laotian fusion dishes.

A Taste of Laos is owned by Nicholas and Jonann Velardi.  Jonann is a first generation immigrant from Laos and the menu features dishes she learned to make from her mother, including Sticky Rice, which is a true Laotian staple.

Mayor Palmieri stated, “It is exciting to see another new business opening in Utica.  A Taste of Laos will be a great addition to downtown and I thank Nicholas and Jonann Velardi for choosing to open their business and invest in Utica.”

A Taste of Laos is open Monday-Saturday from 11:00am-9:00 pm (Monday-Friday) and Saturday from noon-8:00 pm, serving lunch and dinner.  More information about A Taste of Laos, including its menu, can be found on their Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/ATasteOfLaos/.
