MAYOR PALMIERI’S PROPOSED BUDGET UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED BY BOARD OF ESTIMATE & APPORTIONMENT

 

The City of Utica’s Board of Estimate & Apportionment (E&A) unanimously approved Mayor Palmieri’s proposed $71.8 million budget which comes with a 2% tax decrease.

 

Common Council President, Mike Galime, casted his vote via video conferencing, the first time in Utica’s history a vote has ever been cast through this method.

 

By approving the budget, the Board of E&A sent the budget to the Common Council for its review. The Council has until March 20th to pass any amendments for the Mayor’s consideration.

 

The new fiscal year begins on April 1st.
