“Our local American Red Cross chapter has resources available for individuals who were impacted by the recent flooding.   There is a shelter at BOCES on Middle Settlement Road in New Hartford available to anyone in need.  The Red Cross will also be serving lunch and dinner today at the Parkway School on Oriskany Blvd. in Whitesboro.  In addition to serving meals, National Grid and other organizations will be at the Parkway School site from noon-2 to provide additional resources/answers questions.

If you or anyone you know had their home severely damaged by the flood you/they can call 800-831-0927 x1 as the American Red Cross will be sending out personnel to do individual home damage assessment.   You can also call this number if you have any questions about other possible resources.

The United Way’s 211 line is also ready to assist in recovery efforts.  Residents who were impacted by the flood can call 211 as well.”

Residency is no factor in any of these services.  It doesn’t matter where you live, these services are available to anyone in need
