Senior News
Maoyr Timothy J. Julian
Volume 1 Issue 1
Volume 1, Issue 1
This inaugural issue is thin in content on purpose. I would like you to tell me what you would like to see within these pages. This newsletter's main purpose is to update you on policies, procedures and occurrences within Utica. Since there is so much happening, moreso than can ever be written in one newsletter, I have chosen the topics within. Next issue will contain different information based on recommendations you provide. I urge all of you to take advantage of the various programs offered throughout Utica and at the varying Senior Centers in each corner of our city. The North Utica Senior Center, the East Utica Senior Center, the West Utica Senior Center and Parkway Senior Center all provide numerous programs and activities that serve to educate and entertain you. Visit these tremendous assets, consider becoming a full-fledged member, and begin to take advantage of the many things available in Utica. As always, I am thankful to have this opportunity to serve you as your Mayor in this exciting time in our history. Many wonderful things are occurring every day, from business development Downtown to improved finances to added services, and Utica is literally growing and prospering more and more each day. Many people have returned to our area and many more have chosen to relocate and call Utica home, and together with those who are lifelong residents, all are investing in the future of our great city. As the song goes, "The future is so bright I gotta wear shades!" If I can ever be of service to you, please do not hesitate to contact my office at 315-792-0100 at any time. As an added convenience, I have instructed the editor of this publication to include a one-page sheet containing the names and phone numbers of all of the city's departments. This will allow you to contact anyone within city government with greater ease than thumbing through a phone book. If you are unable to secure a suitable solution to a problem or concern, please contact me immediately and I will look into the situation. As always, I remain humbly yours.
