About Public Works
The Department of Public Works is located at 11 Wurz Ave. The building was first constructed in 1967 and houses a variety of city plows, street sweepers, dump trucks, payloaders, and other vehicles and equipment associated with keeping Utica's streets clean year-round. The DPW is charged with keeping all roadways free of ice, snow, and green waste. The Public Works building also houses the city's Sewer Department and Sign Shop along with it's own central maintenance and repair area. The Communications office serves as a response center for all sewer, roadway, and debris complaints. The following pages contain detailed information reagrding all DPW bureaus/departments. |
