                      What’s Going On……

   Mayor announces details for 4th of July Party in Park

 

Mayor also announces that for those viewing fireworks at Proctor Park- the fireworks have been choreographed to a musical medley of Disney and other music for families

 

July 2, 2009- (Utica, NY)- Here’s a breakdown of Mayor Roefaro’s party in the park this fourth of July:

 

July 3rd - 6pm Friday, - Second round of Miss Greater Utica Pageant in Hanna Park.

July 3rd - 7-9pm Friday,– The Nancy Kenyon Band in Hanna Park.

 

July 4th -12 noon and continuing until 6pm Saturday, at PROCTOR PARK (Culver and Rutger Streets):

 

Various musical performances

Various food vendors

A penny carnival for children

A classic car show (bring your classic car down)

The finals of the Miss Greater Utica Pageant

Music from the band Classified

 

SHUTTLE SERVICE

Starting at 12 noon on July 4, 2009, a CENTRO shuttle will take people who park in the Charlestown Parking lot to Proctor Park and back after the fireworks.

 

The parade begins at 6pm on July 4th, and will start at MVCC heading North on Culver Ave to Proctor Park.

 

Fire works will begin at dusk on July 4th 2009 and the choreographed musical show will only take place at Proctor Park (Rutger and Culver Ave)

 

* Remember, next year everything goes back to the Parkway. This year the city is celebrating the 100th Birthday of Proctor Park and its National Registry Designation.
