David R. Roefaro was elected the 75th Mayor of the City of Utica on Tuesday, November 7, 2007. Mayor Roefaro has owned and operated Scala and Roefaro Funeral Home, his family business, for over 23 years. He has served on the Utica City School Board and was an at-large member of the City of Utica Common Council from 2003-2007. He is the first Democratic Mayor of Utica in more than thirty years.
