Children's Museum @ 311 Main Street - 5:00 to 8:00pm Central New York's only Children's Museum is a Hands-On Learning Center for children and families. The Museum has exhibitions and programs in the Arts, Local History, Science & Technology. Visit Play Space, Exploration Space, the Living Science Center, the Dinorama and the Park's sculptures. The National Distance Running Hall of Fame @ 114 Genesee Street - 5:00 to 8:00pm Home of the nationally acclaimed Boilermaker Road Race. The Museum commemorates the accomplishments of distance runners from throughout the United States. Displays and memorabilia honor legendary runners and inductees.
Look Mom, I'm on TV @ Franklin Square (Genesee) - 5:30 to 7:30pm Planet Utica sets up its multi-media TV Station at the ART PARK. Join the cast in this interactive experience and become apart of their 7th Season beginning in October. 6/16 7/21 8/18
Zoo Adventures For Kids of All Ages @ Franklin Square (Genesee) - 5:30 to 7:30pm Join the Utica Zoo and some of its residents for fun Zoo Adventures at the ART PARK. Meet a few of the Zoo's education animals, play games, listen to stories and do activities revolving around the animals you meet. 6/09 Play with clay and make an animal 7/07 Hop like a frog, slither like a snake 8/04 Furs and Feathers come together
UticART Walk @ A self guided tour - 5:00 to 8:00pm Begin you walk at Utica Monday Nite headquarters (106 Genesee Street) with the MVCC student photography club's exhibition, "The Medium of the Moment". A reception is planned for 6/23. This is our fourth show with the club and they get better each year. Also at this location enjoy the Exceptional Artwork Photography Club show. Just up the street at Franklin Square is our ART PARK, which is the focus of our walk this year. Each Monday evening, artisans will be selling their wares, while artists of all stripe, paint and dray, weave and embroider, recite their poetry, dance a bit and all around respond to the MUSE. We never know who will be there, so stop by and share in the surprise. Farther south on Genesee Street, artists from the Utica Art Association are once again working in front of their exhibition in the windows of the McCartivan Building. The Adirondack Coffee Company is hosting a reception held on 6/23 for the wonderful artists of ElderLife; their work will be up throughout the summer. CYNCAC presents a "Meet the Artist" reception on 6/9 to introduce Heather G. Abrams' House Made of Dawn, which will be showing for the entire season in the Stanley Theater Red Room. And, if your are into art off the beaten path, visit the new resonance center (662 Bleecker Street, 2nd floor) for a studio tour. Or, stop by Sculpture Space (12 Gates Street) for a "Work in Progress" reception on 6/23. You can visit any Monday evening throughout the season to catch a glimpse of resident artists at work. Don't forget to check out the Sculpture Garden!
Travel the Past into the Present down Burchard Lane @ Board at 106 Genesee Street - 6:00; 6:45; and 7:30pm Join Mayor John C. Devereaux on a ride through Baggs Square West circa 1839. A horse drawn carriage takes you through the streets that housed the public baths, the library in the famous Mechanics Hall, the residential sites of the city leaders and much, much more.
Saranac Brewery Tour @ Court & Varick - 6:00pm "The Art of Brewing" - Visit one of the oldest breweries in the country and see how the exceptional Saranac family of beers is made! No tour is complete without a ride on the Matt Brewery Trolley and a stop at the "1888 Tavern" for one of our own soft drinks or a cold Saranac.
Kids Against Pollution @ Genesee/Broad ramp July and August - 6:00 to 8:00pm The "Kids" adopt the walkway and wall beginning at the ramp and ending at the Children's Museum parking lot. Each Monday, kids reclaim this portion of Mother Earth by cleaning, planting and creating an Eco-mural wall message. Fun for kids of all ages! (wear clothes that like to get messy)

Stanley Performing Arts Center @ 259 Genesee - 6:30 & 7:00pm Tour the "Jewel of Downtown." Experienced tour guides show you this Mexican Baroque Theater from the original Marquee, through the ornate lobbies, to the backstage and dressing areas onto the orchestra lift and finally through the Stanley Hall of Fame. Listen to the rich history of the theatre and the interesting tales of performers who have graced the Stage. ( Tours last a little over an hour.)
Westward Ho! on the Adirondack Scenic Railroad - 6:30 pm All Aboard! Depart from Union Station and travel west through the Utica March for a fun and educational trip on the rails.
