You must get the deed stamped at the City of Utica Assessor's Office, before proceeding to the Oneida County Clerk's Office to finish recording the deed.

What paperwork is required by the Assessors Office in order to stamp the deed?
Two documents are required to stamp every deed: 
   The original, signed deed (not a copy).
   The completed RP-5217 form.

What does it cost to stamp a deed?
Effective May 1, 2003, the fee will be $30.00 per deed, payable by cash or check made out to the City of Utica.
